Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR)
Job Description:
Will
be a part of the growing team of a small and vibrant consulting company, with
clients in pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries. With
guidance from the team lead, the HEOR Researcher is expected to provide
insights and support on the design and execution of HEOR studies, including
retrospective database analysis, meta-analysis and economic modeling. The
specific tasks may include provide hand-on SAS programming on the retrospective
database analysis using either insurance claim database, hospital database and
other relevant data sources. The
specific tasks may also include design and execute systematic literature
review, identifications and data extraction of scientific literature,
meta-analysis and/or mixed treatment comparisons. The
specific tasks may also include design and execute Excel based economic models
for different needs of economic modeling, including budget impact models,
medical cost offset models and/or cost-effectiveness models. Will
contribute to the write-up and review of the HEOR study and/or model
description, including relevant portions of manuscripts, abstracts, posters,
slide presentations, as needed. With
guidance from the team lead, will contribute to the write-up and review of
study report documentations, study protocols, study analysis documents, Excel
data files and other documents related to the execution of clinical, health
economics and outcomes research studies and models, as needed. Will
have the opportunity to receive training and further develop skills related to
other skill sets related to HEOR studies and models. Will
have the chance to present at scientific conferences and other appropriate
venues on the behalf of the study team and company team when appropriate. Initially,
it will be a full-time contracting position, with the potential to switch to
permanent position in the near future after successful try out. The
candidate can work remotely, if needed.
Job Requirements:
A
candidate is preferred to have a PhD degree (or equivalence) in Public Health, Statistics,
Health Services Research, Economics, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or a related
discipline is required and excellent track-records and ability in HEOR
research. A candidate with a Master
degree and extensive track-records in HEOR research will be considered. Prior
work experience related to HEOR studies and/or models is required. Recent
PhD graduates with motivations and hand-on experiences are welcome. Need
to have strong sense of time urgency and the ability to handle tight project
timeline as needed Need
